.Profile.
I was born in Barcelona, Spain
but, when I was 21, came to London to study English for 6 months and have
been here 12 years now.
|
...
I
studied teaching and translation and really love languages. Currently I
work for a medical association and also teach languages online in the evenings. |
.
...
As
my lessons are focused mainly in conversation I think I can say that my
students are now my friends and I have become a bit of a confidant. |
...
I
have also done voluntary work both in England and in Ghana, and I hope
that now I can do a good job at Community Empowerment combining my language
skills with my experiences. |

Winter
Scientific Meeting, London
.....
It
is a great opportunity for me to translate the training modules into my
mother tongue and to coordinate a group of Portuguese translators to do
the same. I hope together we will be contributing to the war against poverty. |
.
Apart
from working and volunteering, I like reading, cycling and travelling.
My next trip will be to Burma in December, trying to learn more about the
culture and current situation there, and avoiding at all costs that any
of my backpacker's money goes to the junta instead of to the local people. |
.
I
certainly feel very happy to be part of the team and enthusiastic about
the job and purpose of the site. |
